Don’t start with the promise. Start with the evidence.
Visible Margin is an independent online business research and testing project built around a simple idea: if a business model, tool, platform or program is worth recommending, the numbers should eventually be able to support the recommendation.
Research first. Test second. Let the evidence decide.
Online business is full of claims. The missing part is often what happens next.
A sales page can tell you what a platform includes. A course can tell you what should work. A compensation plan can show you what a sale could pay. None of those things automatically tell you whether the underlying business works in practice.
Visible Margin exists to close that gap. We look at what a business actually requires: the startup cost, software, traffic, leads, conversion, revenue, expenses, time, dependencies and ultimately the margin left over.
Some tests may work. Some may fail. Others may produce an answer that is less exciting than the marketing suggested. All three outcomes are useful if they are documented honestly.
Test. Measure. Document.
Visible Margin separates opinion from evidence by following the same basic discipline across the things we examine.
Put the idea into the real world.
Research tells us what should happen. Hands-on use tells us what actually exists. Live testing tells us what happens when traffic, customers and money enter the picture.
Track the numbers that matter.
Costs, traffic, leads, conversions, sales, revenue, expenses, working time and margin are recorded where they are relevant to the test.
Keep the result on the record.
The goal is not to manufacture a success story. Wins, losses, mistakes and inconclusive results remain part of the public evidence.
More than reviews.
Visible Margin combines research, hands-on evaluation and public experiments so different levels of evidence are not presented as if they were the same thing.
Real-world business tests
Defined questions, documented setup, real activity and measurable results — including the tests that do not work.
Costs beyond the sales page
We look at the infrastructure, software, time and operating dependencies required to make a business model actually run.
A consistent comparison framework
The Visible Margin Score compares startup cost, beginner friendliness, time to revenue, profit potential, scalability, ownership and structural risk.
Evidence level made visible
Research, hands-on use and live testing are clearly separated so a theory is never presented as if it were a proven result.
I’m Fred Eimhjellen.
Visible Margin is an independent project I run from Norway.
I built it because I wanted a better way to evaluate online business opportunities than relying on sales pages, testimonials or headline income claims.
I’m interested in the part that comes after the pitch: what it costs to get started, how much work the system actually requires, where the traffic comes from, what converts and whether there is a worthwhile business left when the expenses are included.
That also means I don’t need every experiment to succeed. If something fails, becomes too expensive or simply does not produce enough evidence to support the original idea, that is part of the result.
hello@visiblemargin.com →Commercial relationships should be visible too.
Visible Margin may use affiliate links and may receive compensation when someone purchases or joins through those links. Relevant financial relationships are disclosed rather than treated as irrelevant.
An affiliate relationship does not automatically make a product good or bad, and inclusion on Visible Margin is not the same as a recommendation. The purpose of the research, scoring and experiments is to let the available evidence determine the conclusion.
Earnings are never guaranteed. A business model that works for one operator may not produce the same result for another.
The first experiment is already being built.
Experiment 001 is testing whether the Invincible Marketer framework can build a profitable affiliate business from scratch using Wealthy Affiliate as the primary offer and organic traffic as the starting traffic strategy.
